Batman Arkham Games Play in Order

In the Batman: Arkham Asylum series, this is the first game. Many people would consider it a hiatus for the superhero genre.

Follow-up games like Marvel’s Spider-Man used the open-world, action-adventure formula as well. Furthermore, the series provides a fluid, smooth, and brutal combat gameplay system. The game takes place in a fictional city called Gotham.

Despite every game presenting new mechanics, that’s the core experience in the series. Still, there are some spinoffs that are quite different.

  1. Batman: Arkham Origins

The game is the first in the Arkham series, although it’s the third console release. When the criminal Black Mask places a bounty on Batman’s head early in his career, his life is on the line. The Caped Crusader’s death attracts eight assassins who seek the money and hope to kill him.

WB Games Montreal developed this 2013 title, one of two Arkham games not made by Rocksteady Studios.

In addition to Batman, the studio is also working on Gotham Knights. Though Gotham Knights is not part of the Arkham universe, we’re still eager to play it.

  1. Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate

Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate is different from previous Batman Arkham games as it is not an action-adventure game.

It’s the sequel to Origins and the second game in the Arkham series, as the title implies. Blackgate prison is experiencing a riot, and Batman must contain it.

The only Batman Arkham game that was available on both consoles was Blackgate, which was available on multiple consoles including the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.

Developed by Armature Studio, the team behind another superhero game, Injustice: Gods Among Us for the PS Vita.

  1. Batman: Arkham Asylum

In 2009, Batman: Arkham Asylum became the first of the Batman: Arkham video games to be released. A decade after Origins, Batman delivers the Joker to Arkham Asylum. As soon as things go wrong, the Joker takes over the asylum, releasing dangerous inmates who threaten Batman and the asylum workers.

In addition to their respective roles in Batman: The Animated Series, all three actors had voiced characters in other media.

  1. Batman: Arkham City

In the aftermath of Arkham: Asylum, Batman is forced to face off against dangerous criminals once again. Batman must stop the Joker and Dr. Hugo Strange from implementing their evil plans in the new prison city Arkham City.

Additionally, both Batman and The Joker are poisoned, giving the Caped Crusader very little time to save the day.

In addition to selling Arkham City’s chaotic environment, these missions let the player know that there is more to the city than just the Joker and Dr. Strange.

  1. Batman: Arkham VR

Batman finds himself in trouble again following the events of Batman: Arkham City. The task of figuring out what happened to Nightwing and Robin falls to him after he discovers they are missing.

Batman: Arkham VR has more than one villain, such as Killer Croc and Penguin, as in previous Batman Arkham games.Despite the game being more limited than previous Batman Arkham games, it makes up for it with a great story and new gameplay.

  1. Batman: Arkham Knight

Bats must save Gotham from the Scarecrow and other villains in Batman: Arkham Knight, which takes place months after Batman: Arkham City.

One of these villains is the mysterious Arkham Knight, who has some connection to Batman’s past. There are returning characters from previous games, such as Firefly, the Penguin, and Two-Face.

Arkham Knight may seem to be the last Batman Arkham game, but Rocksteady Studio is not done with the Arkham universe just yet.
