Top 5 Playstation 4 Games

As this console generation draws to a close, Sony’s wedge of a machine holds a healthy library of exclusive titles that simply outmatches Xbox’s offerings.

The Playstation 4 games offers awesome gaming power, incredible entertainment and a stunning HDR experience. It also features 1TB of storage.

Grand Theft Auto V

The decidedly adult heist-filled romp from Rockstar Games is back, remastered for current-gen consoles. Like its predecessors, GTA V is a big game with a lot to see and do.

This version of the game comes with three visual and performance modes: Fidelity caps framerates at 30fps, delivering an upscaled 4K image, while Performance RT targets 60fps with hardware-accelerated ray tracing.

Load times have also been sped up. These improvements, plus the general resolution and frame rate boosts, mean that a decade after its initial release GTA V still looks spectacular. GTA fans should get this version. Just remember that it’ll wipe your save file from last-gen.

Bloodborne

Bloodborne was an aesthetically magnificent game when it first launched. Five years later, however, it looks a little tired and could use a makeover.

As with the other Souls-like games from developer FromSoftware, Bloodborne uses a Bonfire system to allow players to level up and save their progress. In addition, it features a portal to the Hunter’s Dream that lets players return to their safe zone at will.

There is a way to play Bloodborne on PC, but it requires a PlayStation Now subscription and a high-end PC. It also suffers from stream lag, which can be frustrating in a game as fast-paced as Bloodborne.

God of War

The latest God of War re-imagines Kratos’ world and gives players new reasons to relive his adventures. The game brings back slicing up huge swaths of enemies and epic boss fights, but now it also offers flexible controls, surprisingly challenging puzzles, and a moving story.

Santa Monica Studio’s 2018 release received universal acclaim for its world design, graphics, music, story, character dynamic between Kratos and Atreus, and gameplay. It’s no wonder it’s considered one of the best games of this generation. Now, PC gamers can experience this masterpiece in even higher resolutions and graphical settings. Horizon Zero Dawn

The post-apoclyptic world of Horizon Zero Dawn blends futuristic technology – mechanical beasts roam the land – with a tribal theme that builds into a captivating story. From the icy mountain ranges to the dense jungles, each region offers a distinct landscape that reacts to your actions with a dynamic day-night cycle and weather system.

Guerrilla cranked up its Decima engine for this PS4 exclusive, ensuring that it runs at a steady 30fps no matter how much you explore. The graphics are a showpiece, and the detailed environments with their volumetric lighting make for an unforgettable experience.

Its systems are streamlined enough that you don’t spend too much time managing inventory, and Aloy’s empathetic personality keeps you invested in her journey.

Ratchet & Clank

With this latest entry in the series, Sony’s charmers-in-chief teach us all a lesson about laid-back, unpretentious fun. The Insomniac lot have a thing for crunchy action, a kind of intangible elasticity of motion, and playfulness.

This time around, the plucky pair are separated thanks to a device created by Doctor Nefarious, leading to interdimensional adventures in which Ratchet skips between alternate dimensions in search of his missing sidekick. There’s also hoverboard racing, a return of the game’s original physics puzzles and plenty more weapons and gadgets for players to unlock. The story is simple and mushy, but it delivers a satisfying, redemptive arc for our heroes.

Spider-Man

Marvel’s Spider-Man offers PC players ray-traced reflections using NVIDIA DLSS, which uses dedicated NVIDIA RTX hardware to increase graphics performance with uncompromising image quality. It also supports a wide range of customizable controllers and mouse/keyboard input, as well as Steam Input support and accessibility features.

Miles Morales is a teenager with big responsibilities, balancing his role as the new Spider-Man with his life at home and school. He has a strong relationship with his best friend Ganke Lee, who offers him a much-needed mentorship. Miles is faced with a powerful threat involving the mysterious Infinity Stones harbored on Earth. He also has a rogues gallery of notorious super villains, including Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Chameleon, Electro, Rhino, Sandman, Scorpion and Shocker.
