Never before has the past looked so good. This applies to Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – Definitive Edition and the titular city’s ’80s-inspired styling. When it was initially released, this entry was a blast from the past, and it’s still downright retro today. Thanks to the remastering, it has never been easier to go back and relive this visually overwhelming story of Tommy Vercetti and his quest for revenge in this exaggerated version of a crime-ridden ’80s city.
Although it received much love for its story and characters when released and is still often considered one of the best games available on that generation of consoles, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City pushed open-world games in an entirely new direction. As per series tradition, this game was stuffed with cheats that could completely change the flow of the game.
